RMU TRAINS THREE STAFF OF KASAPREKO COMPANY LIMITED (KLC)

Three (3) Technical Staff of Kasapreko Company Limited (KLC) have completed training at the Regional Maritime University (RMU). The three (3) staff namely Mr. Andrew Buadu Amoah
(Blending Automation Engineer), Mr. Michael Cobblah (Technician Operator Haisa Si500 and B1260 machine), and Mr. Nicholas Obeng Adokoh (Technical Operator) trained in the following programmes; Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Hydraulics, Electrical designs using CAD card (computer aided designs) and Pipping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).

Facilitators from RMU who assisted the students in the training were; Mr. Patrick Adjei (Instructor for Electrical design with CAD), Mr. Eugene Anane-Mensah (Instructor for Programmable Logic Controller), Mr. Raymond Cudjoe (Instructor for Hydraulics) and Mr. George Obeng (Instructor for Piping and Instrumentation Diagram).

The partnership between RMU and Kasapreko can be attributed to a lasting relationship established between the two through the proactiveness of the latter. In 2021, kasapreko instituted an award scheme to award best students in the fields of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Technical Universities of which the Regional Maritime University is a beneficiary.  The package of the award includes GH¢ 2,000.00 cash prize, a laptop, commemorative plaque, a National Service enrolment with KCL as well as full employment after service. The aim of the awards scheme is to strengthen industry and academic collaboration thus offering students a practical platform through which they can apply skills acquired. The mutual relationship between both institutions has chalked remarkable achievements hence the training of the three (3)  staff from Kasapreko.
