Regional Maritime University and University of Ghana collaborate to host train-the-trainer seminar

On July 31, 2024, the Library and the Research, Consultancy, and Innovation Unit of the Regional Maritime University (RMU), in collaboration with the University of Ghana, hosted a Train-The-Trainer seminar at the Balm Library of the University of Ghana. This initiative was designed to empower and enhance the skills of key stakeholders within the academic and library communities.

The seminar brought together members of the Ghana Library Association (GLA) and the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana (CARLIGH). These esteemed organizations play a vital role in advancing library services, research, and educational support across Ghana. The seminar was a pivotal step in furthering their capacity to deliver cutting-edge information and resources.

Participants actively engage in hands-on training during the Train-The-Trainer seminar, focusing on advancing library management and research skills.

Participants received specialized training, equipping them with the latest methodologies, tools, and best practices in library management, research facilitation, and innovation. The goal is that this training will have a ripple effect, with the newly trained professionals sharing their knowledge and skills within their respective institutions, thereby raising the overall standards of academic and library services across the country.
