Courtesy call on the new CEO of the Liberia Maritime Authority

The Regional Maritime University sent a four (4) man delegation to Liberia to mourn with the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the Regional Maritime University who lost his mother.  As part of their activities, the delegation on Thursday 21st March, 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the Liberia Maritime Authority (LMA) to extend greetings and welcome the newly commissioned Commissioner, Counsellor Neto Zarzar Lighe Sr.  Present at the meeting was Mr. James Morris, the Director of Training and Development, LMA.

This visit underscored the importance of maintaining strong ties and collaboration within the maritime community.

Discussions focused on mutual goals such as enhancing maritime education, training, and promoting sustainable practices in the maritime sector.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment to working together towards the advancement of maritime safety, security, and environmental protection in the region. 

The delegation that paid the courtesy call on the Commissioner included the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jethro W. Brooks, The University Registrar, Dr. Baboucarr Njie, The Senior Accountant, Mrs. Akua Danoa Asare-Adei, Staff Representative, Dr. Eyram Kwame and the Business Development Officer, Ms. Sika Attipoe.
