IEEE Recognizes Mrs Catherine Asirifi RMU Lecturer, ICT Department

Mrs.Catherine Asirifi, lecturer of the ICT Department of RMU, has been elevated by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to join its elite group of professionals.

IEEE is the world’s largest professional organization for the advancement of Technology.

The IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through highly cited publications, conference, technology standards,and professional education activities.

 Mrs. Asirifi’s significant contribution to IEEE’s status over the years, earned her the enviable position as a Senior Member of the Association.  It is important to note that, lesser than eight percent of more than 425,000 IEEE members hold this prestigious grade of membership.

Senior Members contribute to IEEE’s reputation as the leading Technical Professional Organization.  This recognition of Mrs. Asirifi has brought enormous honor to the Regional Maritime University.  The IEEE gave her a plaque which was presented to her by the University Registrar on behalf of the University.  RMU staff present during the presentation included the Ag. Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Rejoice Norgbey.
