RMU RECIEVES SUPPORT TO FIGHT COVID-19

The Regional Maritime University (RMU) has received various consignment of Personal
Protective Equipments (PPEs) from the Government of Ghana, Apostles of the Sea (Stella Maris)
and EU WeCAPS project to support our fight against COVID-19. The total number of items
received are as follows:
– Tissue paper = 30 pieces
– Thermometer Guns = 8 packets
– Veronica bowls = 22 pieces
– Liquid soap = 30 pieces
– Hand sanitizer = 3,666 pieces
– Waste bin = 6 pieces
– Reusable masks = 1,981 pieces
– Surgical nose masks = 5,000 pieces
– Washing stands = 10 pieces
– Washing bowls = 16 pieces
Receiving the items, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Elvis Nyarko, was appreciative of the proactive and timely intervention from the Government of Ghana, GPHA and Apostles of the Sea (Stella Maris). The items he said would be put to good use to ensure that staff and students are adequately protected against the COVID-19 disease. Present at the presentation was the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Mr. Jethro Brooks Jr., who also expressed appreciation to the benevolent institutions and was confident that, the PPE’S would help prevent the spread of the Corona Virus.
