The Regional Maritime University(RMU) on Tuesday 23rd January, 2024 welcomed its’ January 2023/24 academic year batch of fresh student into various programmes of the University at the Africa Unity Auditorium. Orientation is one of the official programmes on the institution’s calendar that freshmen/women are taken through the dos and donts of the University among others.
The two-day orientation programme witnessed various speakers who stressed on Health Matters, Library Services, Campus life, Safety on campus, Immigration Matters, Finances, Examination, Course Unit System among etc.
Speaking at the event, the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Jethro Wilbert Brooks Jnr. welcomed the freshmen and women embarking on this transformative journey.
“As you embark on this academic adventurous journey, I urge you to approach your studies with diligence and curiosity as the maritime industry demands resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge.” said the Ag. Vice Chancellor. He again asked the fresh men/women to take their studies seriously and make good use of the campus facilities and at the same relate well with each other for they may be helpful in the future.
