In a joint effort to promote graduate employment, the Regional Maritime University (RMU), the National Association of Heavy-duty Equipment Operators, Ghana (NAHEOG) and global recruitment agency Samana HR, Ghana, have launched a recruitment drive to provide job opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

As part of efforts to ensure a smooth recruitment and placement process, executives from Samana HR on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, engaged with NAHEOG graduates and the RMU community to outline the company’s operations and offerings.
Delivering a presentation, Samana’s Operations Manager, Mr Mosbah Hajj, explained that the company has, for over a decade, facilitated employment for graduates under its global recruitment agenda.

The delegation was warmly received by the RMU management team, led by the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Dr Jethro W. Brooks Jr., the University Registrar, Dr. Baboucarr Njie, as well as the Provost Dr. Denis Atehnjia Njumo and Director of Finance, Madam Mary Frances Francis.
Other key staff present included Prof. Nana Ofosu-Boateng, Dean of Maritime Studies, Capt. William Wricket, Ag. Head of the Maritime Safety and Security Center, Mr Benedict Aubin, Ag. Head of the Nautical Science Department and Madam Sika Attipoe, Head of the Business Development Center.

He cautioned against the exploitation of graduates and urged Samana HR to uphold its promises to ensure a positive recruitment experience.

Dr Owusu-Nyarko also expressed his enthusiasm for RMU’s involvement in the process and called for strict adherence to all recruitment protocols.

President of NAHEOG, Mr Dominic Eyiah, emphasised the need to ensure that graduates secure employment after completing their training. He noted that the orientation provided by Samana HR was essential in preparing students for opportunities in the global job market.
