On Wednesday, November 27, 2025, an Executive from Marlow Navigation, a global ship management company, Mr Walczak Boguslaw, together with officials from Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), Director of HR Marine, Eva Rodriguez and Country Manager, Captain Joshua Addo engaged cadets of the Regional Maritime University (RMU) on preparations and emerging opportunities within the maritime industry.

The interaction was aimed at preparing cadets for careers onboard vessels while equipping them with the skills needed to navigate challenges at sea.

The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Studies, Prof Nana Ofosu-Boateng, together with Capt. Etoenyo Bankas.
Earlier, the delegation met with the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr Jethro W. Brooks Jr to discuss and finalise arrangements for the engagement with RMU cadets.

In his presentation, Mr Boguslaw noted that Marlow Navigation had provided over 700 jobs for Ghanaians over the years and planned to do more, considering Africa particularly Ghana, continues to attract significant attention within the global maritime industry.

He encouraged cadets to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead and to equip themselves with the highest level of professionalism expected at sea while advising them to be worthy pioneers and ambassadors, diligent and respectful, in order to pave the way for future generations of mariners.

On her part, Eva Rodriguez urged cadets to be proactive and seize opportunities while onboard. She also emphasised the importance of women excelling in their fields in order to compete effectively with their male counterparts.
