RMU wins Japanese Speech Contest - Regional Maritime University

The Regional Maritime University, represented by Charles Asare-Annan Jnr. An Electricals/ Electronic Engineering student, has won the first place in the Japanese Language Speech Contest held on Saturday, 16th March, 2019.

The event had representatives of the other Institutions gracing the occasion at the Tomreik Hotel (Accra, East Legon) where it was hosted. Participating Institutions included LECIAD (Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy) Noguchi Institute for Medical Research, St. Peters School, and The Regional Maritime University among other Universities

Charles who emerged from category four (persons over 18 years and haven’t visited Japan) swept away a 32 inch flat screen television for a reward in close contest with other participants of the following; category 1: (persons who have been to Japan for over six years) category 2 (Japanese by identity) and category 3 (persons below the age 18 and have not yet visited Japan)

Speaking at the event, Charles expressed his appreciation to the Regional Maritime University (RMU) for the introduction of the Japanese Language Proficiency and encouraged others to seize the opportunity for diversity in all endeavors.
