The Regional Maritime University (RMU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Izisco Obos Institute of Maritime Studies, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
Within this collaboration RMU will support the fledgling Institute and raise quality and standard of training of its maritime personnel by taking them through continuing programmes at RMU. The CEO of Izisco OBos Capt. Isaac S. Oyazi was delighted that his students would now undergo studies in various maritime disciplines in the Institute in Nigeria for three semesters and do the fourth semester studies on RMU Campus in Accra, Ghana. The MOU covers academic programmes at the Diploma Level in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Port and Shipping Management and a Vocational Programme - Marine Engine Mechanic.
Izisco Obos on its part will incorporate and project RMU’s Brand Name and Brand Mark in every promotion for publicity of its programmes throughout Nigeria.
Representing RMU for the signing of the MOU were the Vice Chancellor, Professor Elvis Nyarko and the Provost, Ing. Augustus Addy-Lamptey.
