RMU Embarks on Health Walk to Mark 10th Anniversary Celebration

As part of activities to mark its 10th Anniversary Celebration, Management, Staff and Students of the Regional Maritime University participated in a Health Walk on Saturday 29th April, 2017. The Health Walk commenced at 6:45 a.m. and ended at 9:30 a.m.  The route for the health walk went through the Nungua Barrier, Buade to Kantamanto and back to the University.  The walk was undertaken amidst brass band music provided by the SRC.

After the walk participants gathered on the Parade Grounds of the University for some aerobics led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Elvis Nyarko and the Security Co-ordinator Chief Ayitey.  The VC took the opportunity to appreciate all for their efforts and support to make the occasion a memorable one.

The 10th Anniversary celebration commemorates 10 years of RMU’s elevation to ‘University status’ by Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor on the 25th of October, 2007.

The Anniversary seeks to forge greater collaborations and partnerships and also create awareness about the RMU and its mandate to the general public.
